Who We Are

 I founded Circle Sustainability in 2023, bringing 15 years of experience in the construction and sustainability industry. Throughout my career, I have worked on both the contractor and consultancy sides, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the challenges and opportunities involved in delivering more sustainable buildings.

My experience spans domestic and commercial developments, allowing me to understand projects from different perspectives and work effectively with a range of clients and project teams. This background has given me valuable insight into how sustainability can be considered throughout the development process, from the initial design stages through to construction and completion.

I firmly believe that the buildings we live and work in have a profound impact on our mental and physical wellbeing. The spaces around us can influence how we feel, function and connect with the environment, which is why I’m passionate about creating healthier, more sustainable places for people.

I care deeply about protecting the natural environment and try to live as sustainably as possible in my own life. For me, sustainability is not just a professional responsibility—it’s a personal value that shapes the choices I make every day.

Outside of work, I have a huge passion for animals and enjoy caring for my horses, dogs, chickens and a pair of pigs. Life in the countryside keeps me connected to nature and reinforces my belief in the importance of protecting the world we share with future generations.

I’m proud to support my local football team through sponsorship. As a small local business, I believe it’s important to give back to the community and help create opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in sport. Local teams bring people together, encourage wellbeing and teamwork, and play an important role in building a strong, connected community.

Hi, I’m Chris. I have been working as a sustainability consultant in the built environment for over three years now, primarily focusing on BREEAM, Fitwel and Life Cycle Assessments within the construction industry. I started my career in sustainability in the built environment in a graduate position straight after university, where I studied Geography. I am now a licensed BREEAM Assessor and certified BREEAM AP and Fitwel Ambassador. I am also competent and experienced in doing whole life carbon assessments and life cycle cost assessments for RICS or BREEAM. In my spare time, I try to keep active by playing a range of sports, including football, squash and golf. I always love trying to explore new places with my friends or family and travelling wherever I can. 

Hi, I'm Sam, a Junior Sustainability Consultant at Circle Sustainability.

My primary role is carrying out Whole Life Carbon Assessments (WLCAs), helping clients understand and reduce the environmental impact of their developments.

Before joining Circle Sustainability, I completed a degree in Environmental Management with the Open University. Prior to changing careers, I spent 10 years working as a carpenter, giving me a practical understanding of construction and the materials and processes involved in delivering buildings.

As I continue to develop my career, I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge of BREEAM and working towards becoming a qualified BREEAM Assessor.

Hi, I’m Fran a graduate sustainability consultant with Circle Sustainability. I’ve always 

been passionate about the environment and sustainability, which led me to study 

Zoology at university. Since then, I’ve gained experience in ecological consultancy and 

environmental restoration before deciding to focus my career on sustainability.

In my current role at Circle Sustainability, I guide clients through the process of 

achieving BREEAM certification, advising on the environmental performance of projects 

across multiple categories. I’ve worked on a range of project types, including industrial 

developments, care homes, and multi-residential schemes. I’m LEED Green Associate, 

and contribute to guiding clients though LEED assessments. I’m eager to continue 

developing my expertise by pursuing BREEAM Assessor and Advisory Professional 

qualifications, as well as expanding my experience in other sustainability assessments 

such as Life Cycle Assessments.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, travelling, going for walks 

with my dog, and looking after my horses
